Pixelarity
Pixelarity is a Nashville studio that sells responsive HTML5 website templates. From 2010 to 2015 I designed templates for it, back when it was Arix Media. Here are twenty from its library today.

01The studio
A small studio in Nashville. A big library.
Pixelarity makes responsive website templates in HTML5 and CSS3 for any site and any client. I was one of its designers.

From 2010 to 2015 I designed website templates for Arix Media, which later became Pixelarity, as a freelance UI / UX designer.
The studio’s help page still credits me as “an incredibly talented designer”.

03One kit
A template is a system someone else fills in.
It has to survive any logo, any photo and any amount of text. So each one is three pages, built to flex across three sizes.
Page names come from the navigation bar of the templates above: Home, Generic and Elements. The Elements page is the component library, with every control a buyer might need.
04Beyond templates
Rota. A ward scheduler.
Alongside the templates I designed web-app screens, including a staff-scheduling tool. This is a brand-new dashboard in a soft, card-based style. Watch a time-off request get decided, then take over.

The palette
Three soft tints for the three shifts, two for status, and one indigo accent. Every text pairing was checked against WCAG 2.1 AA.

Not by colour alone
Locked, published, draft and short each use an icon and a word as well as a tint.

Keyboard first
Tabs use the arrow keys. Every shift, person, request and slider can be reached and changed.

Says what happened
A live region announces changes, such as a shift going from 1 of 1 to 0 of 1.

Calm motion
The demo stops when you touch anything, and does not play under reduced motion.
